Technical Project Manager Intern
Role & Impact
Interned on Southern California Edison's Transmission & Distribution Project Management team in Pomona, CA (June - September 2026), supporting Project Engineers across infrastructure projects from planning through field execution. Focused on coordinating outage planning across a large project portfolio, building internal tools that cut manual review work, and supporting field assessments at active T&D sites.
My work:
Built an outage-coordination platform automating Primavera P6 and SharePoint data into Power Apps and Power BI, screening 72 planned outages and flagging conflicts across 30 circuits and 2,330 overlap days at risk before crews mobilized.
Developed an on-device Python RAG system (quantized Qwen3-VL 8B) with OCR/table preprocessing, token-aware chunking, and evidence reranking to agentically score 11 contractor proposals (~1,000 pages each) across 40 criteria, reducing evaluation from 126 reviewer-hours to 8 and achieving within 7% of human scores.
Supported field walkdowns at 3 T&D sites with Project Engineers, assessed conduit collapses to determine repair scope, responsible party, and estimated remediation cost, and defined site security requirements, including perimeter fencing for material laydown areas.
