Independent Design & Fabrication
My Role:
Outside of team competition, I design and build machines entirely on my own. Every personal project is self-funded, self-scoped, and self-managed: I set the requirements, model the parts in CAD, source the electronics, fabricate, and test. These are the builds where I take the risks a competition season doesn't allow for, and where I learn the fastest.
My work:
Every build starts from a blank page and ends with working hardware. Each project stretches a different skill set: rapid prototyping and 3D printing, soldering and wiring, motor controller programming, aerodynamics, and hands-on fabrication. I model parts in Onshape and Inventor, print and machine them myself, then test and iterate until the design holds up under real use.

A 3 lb beetleweight combat robot taken from concept to competition-spec build. The body was modeled in CAD and print-oriented for impact strength, with a custom-fabricated drum weapon, hand-soldered electronics, programmed motor controllers, an external charging port, and silicone bracelet treads for traction.
A high-speed FPV drone designed around aerodynamics, weight reduction, and a flight stack tuned for speed and control. This build is still in progress; the full write-up covering frame design, component selection, and tuning is on the way.
