I independently designed and built a 3lb combat robot as a personal project, engineering it to competition specifications while managing the entire process from concept to final build. I created the body in CAD, applied rapid prototyping techniques, and optimized printing orientation for structural strength. I soldered and wired the electronics, programmed the motor controllers, and integrated features such as an external charging port. The build involved fabricating a custom drum, adapting silicon bracelets for wheel traction, and iterating on design choices to improve durability and performance. This project reinforced my skills in CAD, electronics, and hands-on fabrication while also teaching me the importance of budgeting, planning, and problem-solving through iteration.
